Aircon Piping & Trunking Work in Singapore

Most piping jobs come from renovation work or correcting poor previous installations. The scope covers copper refrigerant lines, drainage, insulation, and trunking. We quote after seeing the site.

What Is Piping & Trunking Work

Piping and trunking work covers copper refrigerant lines, drain piping, insulation, and trunking. The scope includes new runs, extensions, replacements, reroutes, and drainage replumbing. All pipe work is pressure-tested before the system is charged.

  • New pipe runs

Fresh installation or layout changes where no existing piping is in place. Includes copper refrigerant lines, drain piping, insulation, and trunking. Pressure-tested before connecting to the system.

  • Pipe extension or reroute

Unit moves further from the condenser, or the route changes after renovation. We assess whether the existing piping can be extended or needs full replacement.

  • Pipe replacement

Corroded, leaking, or insulation-damaged pipes. We check the full run — partial patching often fails if the rest of the line is also deteriorating.

  • Drainage replumbing

Slope correction, new discharge point, or condensate backup from incorrect gradient. Common after floor level changes during renovation.

  • Trunking and concealment

New trunking installation, extension, or replacement to match new wall finishes. Includes routing around cabinetry, false ceilings, and other post-renovation constraints.

How We Work

Every piping job follows the same sequence: assess the site, plan the route, execute the pipe work, then commission.

  1. 01

    Site visit

Assess distances, wall types, and existing pipe condition before quoting.

  2. 02

    Route planning

Piping path mapped around renovation constraints and drainage gradient.

  3. 03

    Pipe work

Copper lines cut, flared, and pressure-tested before connecting to the system.

  4. 04

    Commissioning

Insulation wrapped, trunking fitted, system vacuumed, charged, and tested.

Why It Matters How the Piping Is Done

Piping quality affects system efficiency, refrigerant integrity, and drainage reliability for the life of the installation.

  • Full run assessed before quoting

we check existing pipe condition, diameter, and routing before recommending replacement or reuse.

  • Pressure-tested before connecting

every new pipe run verified for integrity before refrigerant is introduced.

  • Coordinated with renovation timeline

pipe runs go in at the right stage (after hacking, before plastering) so work does not delay the project.

  • Drainage gradient verified

condensate slope checked end-to-end so water reaches the discharge point without backing up.

When to Book Piping & Trunking Work

Most piping jobs are triggered by a new installation, a renovation, or a fault that traces back to the pipe run.

  • New installation requiring pipe runs

full copper line set, drainage, and trunking from scratch.

  • Renovation pipe reroute

wall moved, layout changed, or outdoor unit repositioned.

  • Corroded or leaking pipes

insulation damaged, joint leaking, or repeated gas loss from the same pipe section.

  • Drainage backing up

condensate not reaching the discharge point due to slope or blockage in the pipe run.

  • Trunking does not match new wall finishes

    replacement or extension after renovation.

When Piping & Trunking Is Not the Right Scope

Some work is adjacent but falls outside this service. Clarifying scope early avoids mismatched expectations.

  • Whole-house electrical

we handle aircon-side wiring only; DB board upgrades and whole-house work need a licensed electrician.

  • Wall hacking or structural work

we advise on where penetrations are needed, but hacking is your contractor's scope.

  • Unit fault or refrigerant issue

a pipe fault is different from a refrigerant leak at a joint; book gas leak detection for that.

  • Trunking cosmetic touch-up only

minor paint or filler work is renovation scope, not piping scope.
