Aircon General Servicing in Singapore
Routine clean of four buildup areas — filters, coil, drain, and blower. The question is whether the unit is due for a standard rinse or whether the buildup has already gone deeper.
What Is Aircon General Servicing
Dust and grime accumulate on the filters, coil, drain, and blower every time the unit runs. General servicing clears all four before performance drops.
Service Scope
Filters, coil, drain, blower — plus a condition check.
Filter wash
Filters removed, rinsed clear of dust and debris, dried, and refitted. The main restrictor of airflow when left too long.
Evaporator coil rinse
Coil fins flushed with water to clear surface grime and restore heat exchange. No chemicals — a standard rinse for units in normal condition.
Drain line flush
Condensate drain flushed from the unit to the discharge point to clear early-stage algae before it builds into a blockage.
Blower clean
Fan blades wiped and brushed to remove accumulated dust. Restores airflow volume and reduces vibration noise from an unbalanced blade.
Condition check
We note anything unusual — coil corrosion, bearing noise, refrigerant indicators — and flag it separately. Nothing added without your approval.
Benefits of General Servicing
Four outcomes after every visit.
Restored airflow
Filters and blower cleared so air moves freely again.
Cleaner output
Coil rinse removes surface mould and dust that circulates into the room.
Drainage cleared
Drain line flushed to prevent drip leaks before they start.
Condition check
We flag anything unusual so you know what to watch before it becomes a fault.
When to Book General Servicing
Usage, environment, and what you notice determine whether it's time.
Unit is due based on your usage interval
Every 3 to 4 months for heavy daily use, every 4 to 6 months for moderate use, every 6 months for light use.
Mild dust buildup with no smell or weak airflow
A standard rinse is sufficient, no need to step up.
Multiple units on a maintenance schedule
General servicing at each interval keeps all units consistent.
Before peak heat months
Servicing before June or December prevents performance issues when units run hardest.
Post-renovation baseline clean
Removes construction dust before the unit is used regularly again.
When General Servicing Is Not Suitable
General servicing is a rinse and clean. If your unit has deeper issues, a different service is the better starting point.
Smell or weak airflow persists after a recent general service
Buildup is beyond rinse range, book a chemical wash.
Unit powers on but does not cool
Likely a refrigerant or compressor issue, not a cleaning problem.
Error code or blinking light
Indicates a sensor or control board fault that a clean will not resolve.
Loud grinding or buzzing
Worn motor or fan bearing, a clean will not fix mechanical wear.
Water leaking from unusual places
May be a cracked drain pan, not a simple blockage.
