Aircon Site Survey in Singapore
Before we quote an installation, we need to see the space. A site survey determines the right system type, capacity, piping route, and electrical requirements — so the quote reflects what the job actually involves, not a template estimate.
What Is a Site Survey
A site survey is a $30 diagnostic visit that covers everything needed to produce an accurate installation quote. We assess the space, map out piping routes, check electrical capacity, and confirm where the outdoor unit can go — so the quote reflects real site conditions, not assumptions. The $30 fee is waived if you proceed with the installation.
Room sizing
Floor area, ceiling height, and window exposure — determines the BTU capacity each indoor unit needs.
Condenser placement
Where the outdoor unit goes, how it is mounted, and whether the location has adequate ventilation and drainage.
Piping route
The path between indoor and outdoor units — distance, bends, wall penetrations, and whether trunking is needed.
Electrical capacity
Whether a dedicated circuit exists, the DB board has spare capacity, and the wiring gauge supports the load.
Drainage path
Whether condensate drains by gravity to a floor trap or needs a pump-assisted discharge point.
How It Works
The visit takes 30 to 60 minutes depending on the number of rooms and layout complexity.
- 01
Describe what you need
Tell us how many rooms, any layout changes planned, and whether you have a system type in mind. This helps us prepare.
- 02
We assess the space
Room measurements, ceiling check, window orientation, electrical panel review, outdoor unit placement options, and piping route mapping.
- 03
We explain the options
System type, capacity per room, brand options, piping approach, and anything that affects cost — like electrical upgrades or trunking.
- 04
You receive a quote
A detailed quote covering units, piping, electrical, brackets, and labour. The $30 survey fee is waived if you proceed with the installation.
What You Get From a Site Survey
The survey turns unknowns into a fixed scope before any money changes hands.
Quote reflects real site conditions
room sizes, piping routes, and electrical capacity assessed before anything is priced.
Routing and electrical issues caught early
problems that would add cost mid-installation found before work starts.
System type and capacity confirmed
wall-mount, cassette, ducted, or multi-split matched to the actual space.
No surprises on installation day
scope is locked from the site visit, not adjusted after work begins.
When to Book a Site Survey
Book a survey before any installation is quoted or committed to.
First-time installation
property has no existing aircon, everything planned from scratch.
System replacement with a different type or capacity
piping and electrical may need changes.
Renovation integration
trunking, false ceiling, or concealed piping for the new layout.
Adding units to new rooms
condenser capacity and circuit load need checking.
Unsure which system type fits
wall-mount, cassette, ducted, or multi-split each suit different spaces.
When a Site Survey Is Not the Right Call
A survey scopes a future installation. It does not fix existing problems or service existing units.
Existing unit has a fault
book an on-site inspection instead, not a survey.
Unit just needs servicing or cleaning
book a general servicing visit.
You want a quote without committing to anything
the survey is the quote process; there is no obligation to proceed.
Commercial VRV or VRF system
multi-zone commercial setups require a separate scoping visit.
