Aircon current sensor repair
We separate the current-sensor circuit from connectors, harnesses, PCB/PBA inputs, driver stages and real compressor or fan current before recommending a part. We’ll assess first, then confirm whether this is the right scope before you book.

What current-sensor repair covers
Current sensors report AC input, DC output, compressor, fan-drive or total system current to the control electronics. A wrong or missing signal can stop the outdoor unit or trigger protection, but the sensor may be separate or integrated into a PCB/PBA. Common situations where a current-sensor check fits:
A current-sensor or current-detection code appears
The exact model and code identify which input, output, compressor, fan or total-current circuit needs testing.
The outdoor unit stops or repeatedly enters protection
Incorrect feedback can cause protection, but a genuine compressor, fan, supply or driver load must be ruled out.
Several rooms lose cooling together
On a multi-split or VRF system, one shared outdoor sensing or driver fault can affect connected indoor units.
When current-sensor replacement isn't suitable
A current-sensor code identifies the reporting circuit. It does not prove that a separately replaceable sensor has failed.
The connector or harness is open or heat-damaged
A loose terminal or damaged wire can remove or distort the signal while the sensing element remains healthy.
The PCB, PBA or driver input is faulty
Some current sensors are board-mounted, and a failed input or power stage may require a model-specific board decision rather than a bare sensor.
The system is drawing genuinely abnormal current
A compressor, fan, supply or inverter fault can make a healthy sensing circuit report a real protection condition.
What you get
A clear current-measurement diagnosis before a sensor, harness, driver or board is approved.
The exact reporting circuit is identified
We match the model and code to the AC input, DC output, compressor, fan-drive or total-current path.
Sensor signal and actual load are separated
Connector, harness, sensing path, PCB/PBA input and the connected electrical load are checked together.
The repair and part decision is explained
You receive the confirmed failed stage, correct model-specific part or smaller wiring repair, availability and quote before work starts.
How a current-sensor check works
The displayed code narrows the measurement path. Electrical and operating checks determine whether the signal or the real load is responsible.
Send us the model and displayed fault
Share both model labels, the complete code or lamp pattern, and whether one room or several rooms are affected.
We assess the system on-site ($30)
We identify the current-sensor circuit, inspect its connector, harness and board area, and check the supply and connected load.
We isolate the failed stage
Sensor signal, wiring, PCB/PBA input, inverter or fan driver, compressor or fan load and genuine overcurrent are separated before a part is selected.
We explain and quote
You receive the confirmed fault, whether the sensor is separate or board-mounted, the correct part number, lead time and repair recommendation before approval.
We repair and verify
After approved work, we confirm the reported current follows the operating condition and test stable cooling without the original fault.
What we check before repair
Current-sensor diagnosis covers the complete measurement path and real electrical load rather than treating every code as a failed sensor.
Model, code and circuit identity
We confirm whether the code names AC input, DC output, compressor, fan-drive or total system current on the exact model.
Connector and harness
Terminals and wiring are checked for looseness, corrosion, heat damage, open circuit and short circuit.
Sensor signal and PCB/PBA input
The reported value is compared with the operating condition, and the board input or integrated sensing stage is checked.
Supply and connected load
Compressor, fan, inverter or fan driver and supply conditions are checked for a genuine abnormal-current cause.
Brand-specific current sensor repair
Choose the brand for its model scope, official diagnostic evidence, parts path and repair-versus-replacement guidance.
Workmanship warranty
We stand behind the repair we carry out, and we are straight about the part of the cover we do not set ourselves.
Labour
30-day labour warranty. If the same fault returns from the repair we did, we come back and the labour is on us, with no second diagnosis fee.
Parts
Parts follow whatever warranty the distributor sets for that component, so the term varies by part. We tell you the coverage before you approve the quote.
