Why is my Samsung aircon leaking water inside the room?
Water is running out of your Samsung indoor unit and landing on the floor. The unit itself is almost certainly fine. The small outlet that empties its tray is not, and that is a far smaller problem.

Your tray is filling faster than it can empty
The cold coil inside your Samsung is pulling water out of the room air right now. A shallow tray under the coil catches it, and one small outlet lets it out.
That tray is shallow and holds no reserve. If the outlet cannot pass water as fast as the coil makes it, the level rises until water goes over the lowest edge.
So a leak is nearly always an outlet problem, not a broken part. The unit carries on cooling while it drips, which is the clue most owners walk past. A cold room and a wet floor mean the drain side alone has failed.
That distinction sets the size of the job. Clearing an outlet is short work with no parts. Replacing a tray or a unit is neither.
A drip at the front and a stain at the back are different faults
Look at where the water lands before you mop it up. On a wall unit the two positions mean opposite things.
Water running down the front face means the tray filled and went over its front lip. The tray is intact. A cracked tray behaves differently, since water escapes through the crack long before the tray fills.
Water behind the unit, tracking down the wall, is the opposite reading. Something behind the tray has given way, or a joint on the concealed run is weeping. That version is worth switching off for.
Ceiling units follow the same logic in another place. Wet boards around a cassette mean water backed up to the cassette's drain outlet and spilled there.

Years of buildup close the outlet from the inside
Any surface that stays wet grows a film. The tray sits wet every hour the unit runs, so algae and biofilm settle there and thicken season by season.
The film does not block the pipe first. It blocks the outlet in the tray, the narrowest point on the path. On an older unit that opening can seal shut under a green layer while the pipe beyond stays clear.
Unit age is the tell here. A unit past seven or eight years, with a tray never cleaned, is the usual profile for a drip that crept in and worsened each month.
Clean it before anyone calls it cracked
A fouled tray cannot be judged. Nobody can see the surface under the film, so calling it cracked at that stage is a guess.
Strip the film, clear the outlet, run water through, then inspect the bare tray. Trays written off as finished often turn out sound.
A leak that follows renovation or ceiling work is a routing fault
The other pattern starts abruptly. The unit was dry for years, someone worked near it, and water showed up within days.
Relocating a unit, or a fit-out that changes what sits above the ceiling, forces the drain hose onto a fresh route. That route can carry a sharp bend. A bend tight enough to squeeze the hose restricts flow without stopping it.
That restriction hides well. At ordinary condensate volume the water still clears, so the run looks correct. On a hot afternoon with the unit working hard, flow outruns the bend and water spills at the unit.
By then the hose sits above a closed ceiling. The leak is what reveals the bend.
Give the dates, then ask for the route
Give two dates. The date the work was done and the date the water appeared. Those two dates together are most of the diagnosis.
Then ask for the drain route to be traced end to end before any quote for unit repair. A unit that still cools normally and throws no fault code was not damaged by the move.
The clearing has to come before the verdict
The gap between the two possible bills is wide. Clearing an outlet and flushing a line is minor work. A new tray, or a new unit, is another order of money.
So insist on the order. Clean the tray, clear the outlet, flush the line, then leave the unit cooling through a warm afternoon and watch the outlet. A verdict on the tray is worthless before that.
In the meantime keep the unit off. A running coil makes more water and the leak grows with it. Put a basin under the drip.
Switch off at the isolator if water is reaching a light fitting, a ceiling void or any wiring. Otherwise there is no emergency. The water is condensate out of the room air, not refrigerant.
