Aircon general servicing

Filter, coil, drain pan, and blower cleaned in one routine visit. The standard maintenance clean every 3 to 6 months. We’ll assess first, then confirm whether this is the right scope before you book.

What general servicing covers

Most units just need a routine clean before buildup compounds into a fault: filters, coil, drain, and blower, cleared in one visit. The harder part is knowing when a clean is enough. Common situations where it fits:

  • Unit is due based on usage

Every 3 to 4 months for heavy daily use, 4 to 6 for moderate use, 6 for light use.

  • Cooling is mostly normal

The unit works, but airflow feels weaker, output's dusty, or filters haven't been cleaned recently.

  • You want regular upkeep across multiple units

A standard service keeps the system clean and flags visible issues before they turn into faults.

When general servicing isn't suitable

A standard clean won't solve every complaint. These cases should be routed differently.

  • Smell or weak airflow returns after recent servicing

Buildup's deeper than a routine clean can reach. Chemical servicing fits better.

  • Unit powers on but doesn't cool

Likely a refrigerant, airflow, or compressor fault. Start with diagnosis.

  • Error code or blinking light

Points to a sensor, board, or control issue, not a cleaning issue.

What you get

Maintenance clarity, not a surprise upsell.

  • Routine buildup cleared

Filters, coil, drain, and blower cleaned before buildup compounds.

  • Visible issues flagged

If we spot a leak, drainage fault, corrosion, or noisy motor, we explain it before quoting anything.

  • Clear next step

If a standard clean's enough, we stop there. If not, we tell you which service path makes sense.

How a servicing visit works

From your message to a unit running clean, here is what happens on the day.

  1. You tell us the units

How many, the type (wall, cassette, or ducted), and anything you've noticed. We confirm the visit and timing.

  2. We check condition first

Before cleaning, we look at the actual state of each unit. One in good shape needs nothing more than the standard clean.

  3. We service each unit in place

The routine clean, one unit at a time. No chemicals on a general service.

  4. We flag anything separate

If a unit needs more than a clean, a part, a chemical wash, a drainage fix, we explain it and quote it on its own. Nothing's added without your say.

  5. We confirm it runs clean

We check airflow and drainage before leaving, and tidy the work area.

What we clean

General servicing clears the four routine buildup areas, with a basic condition check on the way.

  • Filter clean

We pull the filters, brush and vacuum them clear of dust and debris, and refit.

  • Evaporator coil

We vacuum and brush surface dust off the coil fins so it exchanges heat efficiently. No water or chemicals; that depth of clean is a chemical service.

  • Drain line

We clear the condensate drain from the unit to the discharge point before early buildup becomes a blockage.

  • Blower clean

We wipe and brush the fan blades to clear dust that chokes airflow and causes vibration.

  • Condition check

Visible signs like coil corrosion, bearing noise, or refrigerant indicators get flagged separately. Nothing's added without approval.

Systems we service

We service the common indoor unit types. Rates vary by system, so tell us yours when you book.

  • Wall-mounted

The standard split unit in most HDB and condo rooms.

  • Ceiling cassette

Recessed into the ceiling, common in offices and larger spaces. Access and drainage differ.

  • Ducted

Concealed above the ceiling and ducted to vents. Filters and drainage need a different approach.

Workmanship warranty

30-day workmanship warranty. If a unit we serviced doesn't come up clean, or a problem traces back to the work we did, we come back and the labour is on us, with no second call-out fee.

Frequently asked questions about aircon general servicing in Singapore

How often should I service my aircon?
Heavy daily use (8+ hours), every 3 to 4 months. Moderate use, every 4 to 6 months. Light use or spare rooms, every 6 months. Dusty environments or homes with pets, shorter intervals. Tell us your setup on the visit and we'll calibrate the cadence.
What is the difference between general servicing and chemical servicing?
General servicing is a routine clean of filters, coil, drain, and blower, no chemicals. Chemical servicing uses chemical agents and high-pressure steam to dissolve buildup a routine clean can't reach. If general servicing resolves the issue, you don't need to step up.
Can you find faults during a servicing visit?
Yes. We check for visible signs: unusual noise, weak airflow, refrigerant indicators, drainage problems. If something needs further diagnosis, we flag it and quote separately. Nothing is added without your approval.
Do you service ceiling cassette and ducted units?
Yes. We service wall-mounted, ceiling cassette, and ducted systems. Rates vary by system type, so check the pricing page or send the unit type before booking.
Do I need to be home during the service?
Yes. We need access to the indoor units and a power supply. Tell us how many units and the type, and we'll give you a rough time on the visit.
Will a general service stop my aircon smelling?
Often, if the smell is light and recent: a standard clean clears surface buildup on the filters and coil. If it has set deeper into the coil, it usually needs chemical servicing, and we'll tell you which on the visit instead of guessing.
