Aircon Chemical Servicing
Chemical servicing is the step up from a general clean: chemical agents loosen mould and compacted grime on the coil, and high-pressure steam flushes it out at temperature. It's the right call when a recent general service didn't shift a smell, when airflow stayed weak, or when grime's visible on the fins. Not every unit needs one. For current rates, see the pricing page.

What Chemical Servicing Covers
Chemical treatment and high-pressure steam to clear buildup a standard rinse can't reach. Common situations where chemical servicing fits:
Smell persists after a general service
Mould's set into the coil. Another rinse won't shift it.
Weak airflow despite clean filters
Coil buildup's choking air passage deeper than a rinse can reach.
Visible grime or mould on the coil fins
Standard rinsing can't dislodge compacted buildup.
When to Start Elsewhere
Chemical servicing handles dirt and mould. It won't fix mechanical or electrical faults, and severe contamination might need an overhaul.
Unit not cooling at all
Likely a refrigerant or compressor issue, not contamination.
Error codes or blinking lights
Points to a sensor or PCB fault. A clean won't resolve it.
Breaker trips on startup
Electrical issue that needs diagnosis, not cleaning.
What We Check During Chemical Servicing
We apply chemical treatment to every buildup area, then flush it through with high-pressure steam.
Filter wash
We pull the filters, rinse them clear, and dry them before the chemical treatment starts.
Evaporator coil
Chemical agents loosen compacted grime and mould on the fins, then steam flushes them out.
Drain line flush
We steam-flush the condensate drain from the unit to the discharge point so residue doesn't back up.
Blower clean
We coat the fan blades with chemical solution, then steam-rinse to clear buildup a standard wipe leaves behind.
Condition check
Coil corrosion, bearing noise, and refrigerant indicators get flagged separately. Nothing's added without approval.
We don't use jet wash (high-pressure water). Pressurised water bends coil fins, pushes contamination into the blower housing, and splatters walls, ceilings, and furniture.
What You Get
A cleaner unit and a clearer next step.
Mould treated at the coil
Steam temperature kills mould and bacteria where they grow.
Smell addressed at the source
Chemical treatment and steam clear the residue instead of just shifting it downstream.
Airflow restored
Blower and coil get cleared so air moves freely again.
