Aircon Chemical Overhaul
Chemical overhaul is the strip-down: the unit comes off the wall, the drain pan and blower come out, and every accessible surface is cleaned by hand. It's the right call when chemical servicing's already been done and the smell or buildup returned, or when contamination is too deep for in-place washing to reach. For current rates, see the pricing page.

What Chemical Overhaul Covers
A full strip-down for heavy contamination or issues that in-place cleaning can't reach. Common situations where overhaul fits:
Problems returned after a recent chemical servicing
Contamination's sitting deeper than in-place cleaning can reach.
Smell persists after chemical servicing
Mould's likely embedded in the drain pan or blower housing.
When to Start Elsewhere
Overhaul is the deepest indoor clean, but not every problem is caused by dirt.
Unit not cooling despite a clean system
Likely low refrigerant or a compressor fault, not contamination.
Error codes or blinking lights
Sensor or PCB issue. Cleaning won't fix it.
Loud mechanical noise from the outdoor unit
Motor or bearing wear on the condenser side, not an indoor cleaning issue.
What We Check During A Chemical Overhaul
We take the indoor unit down, strip it, clean each component, then reassemble.
Evaporator coil (both sides)
We take the unit off the wall for front-to-back access, so buildup behind the coil gets cleaned.
Drain pan
We disassemble the drain pan and clean it directly, not just flush from above.
Blower and fan motor
Blower comes out and gets cleaned separately. We check bearing condition and motor function while we put it back.
Housing and internals
We clean accessible surfaces behind the coil and inside the housing while the unit's off the wall.
Component inspection
Corroded joints, cracked drain pans, or worn parts get flagged separately. Nothing's added without approval.
What You Get
The outcome should justify the strip-down.
Coil cleaned from both sides
Front and back access that in-place washing can't achieve.
Drain pan and housing fully cleaned
We get to mould in spots chemical servicing can't reach.
Fault visibility
Full strip-down exposes corroded joints, worn bearings, or cracked components that routine servicing misses.
