The correct LG inverter power stage may be a separate IPM/IGBT, a driver board or a complete outdoor-PCB assembly. We confirm the exact outdoor model, board revision, supported repair, part number and distributor lead time before you approve work.Our recommendation
Inverter-module repair is usually sensible when the exact power stage is confirmed, the supported module or board assembly is available, and the compressor, fan, supply and cooling path remain healthy; an older system with a damaged compressor or several board faults needs a closer repair-versus-replacement comparison. LG systems commonly have a service life of 8–12 years. For a system over 10 years, major component failures favour replacement. Parts for older ArtCool models may be hard to source, and efficiency loss adds to the running cost of keeping the unit.
