Aircon system replacement

When repair stops making sense, we weigh it honestly, then replace the old system with a right-sized new one. We’ll assess first, then confirm whether this is the right scope before you book.

What a system replacement covers

Replacement only comes up when the system's past economical repair: old, running on discontinued refrigerant, or facing a compressor or board failure on an aged unit. We weigh repair against replacement honestly first, then handle the full swap, old system out, a right-sized new one in. Common situations where replacement fits:

  • The unit's 10+ years old and needs a major part

A compressor or board on an aged system often costs more than it's worth. Replacement resets the clock with a warranty.

  • Repairs keep stacking up

Several faults in a year, or leaks that keep returning, point to a system at end of life.

  • It runs on discontinued refrigerant

R22 supply is shrinking and pricey. An R32 or R410A system is cheaper to run and maintain.

When a replacement isn't suitable

Replacement is the last resort, not the default. These point back to repair first.

  • Only one component has failed

A single fault on a newer system is a repair, not a replacement. Start with diagnosis.

  • The fault hasn't been diagnosed

Don't replace on a guess. An on-site inspection confirms what actually failed first.

  • Only the indoor unit is dead

If the outdoor unit and piping are sound, an FCU replacement is cheaper than a full system.

What you get

An honest call, not a default upsell to a new system.

  • Repair-vs-replace math, in the open

We show you the repair cost against a new system, so the decision's yours, not pushed.

  • A right-sized system

Capacity matched to the space, not oversold. We size it on the survey.

  • Full swap in one scope

Old system removed and disposed, new one installed, piping and electrical sorted, commissioned.

How a replacement works

From your first message to a commissioned new system, here is what happens.

  1. You message us

Tell us the symptom or the age of the system, and what's prompted the replace-or-repair question.

  2. We assess repair vs replace

On-site, we confirm the fault and lay out the repair cost against a new system. If repair's the better value, we say so.

  3. We survey and quote

We size the new system to the space and check the piping route, electrical, and access, then price the full job, removal included.

  4. We remove and install

We recover refrigerant and take out the old system, then mount and connect the new one, reusing sound piping where it makes sense.

  5. We commission and hand over

We vacuum, charge, and test cooling, drainage, airflow, and controls before we leave.

What's included

A full system replacement, priced as one scope after the survey confirms it.

  • Old system removal

Refrigerant recovered, old indoor and outdoor units disconnected, dismounted, and taken off-site.

  • New system supply

A right-sized unit from a major brand, or one you've sourced; the scope and warranty are the same.

  • Piping

Existing copper reused where it's sound and compatible, replaced where it isn't.

  • Drainage & electrical

Condensate drainage and the aircon circuit reconnected to the new unit's requirement.

  • Commissioning

Vacuum, charge, and a full performance check before handover.

Installation warranty

1-year workmanship warranty on the new installation. Any parts we supply are covered free of charge if they fail within that year, and we confirm exactly what's covered before the work starts.

Frequently asked questions about aircon system replacement in Singapore

Should I repair or replace my aircon?
Replacement makes sense when the system's old, runs on discontinued refrigerant, keeps losing gas, or needs a costly compressor or board on an aged unit. We lay out the repair cost against a new system on-site, so the call's yours, not pushed.
How much does aircon replacement cost?
It depends on system type, number of units, and whether the piping and electrical can be reused. We quote after a site survey, not over the phone.
Can I reuse my existing piping?
Often, yes. We check pipe condition, diameter, and refrigerant compatibility on the survey. Sound piping saves cost; corroded or incompatible piping is safer replaced.
How long does a replacement take?
A single-unit swap is usually a day. Multi-unit or ducted systems can take longer. We confirm timing after the survey.
Do replacements come with a warranty?
Yes. A new installation carries a 1-year workmanship warranty, and any parts we supply are covered free if they fail within that year. The new unit also carries its manufacturer warranty.
