Inverter-module repair is usually sensible when the exact power stage is confirmed, the supported module or board assembly is available, and the compressor, fan, supply and cooling path remain healthy; an older system with a damaged compressor or several board faults needs a closer repair-versus-replacement comparison. Samsung systems commonly have a service life of 8–12 years. For a system over 10 years, major component failures favour replacement. Wind-Free panel assemblies for older models may be hard to source, and overall efficiency has likely dropped.
